Mike and Molly Hendry Dessert Wine
Our dessert wine is a mash-up of styles resulting in a wine that is luscious enough to stand in for dessert, but with enough acidity that it feels light and makes you ready for the next sip. Made from Albariño grapes and fortified with brandy distilled from our Zinfandel, this wine has notes of apricot, quince and orange blossoms. Pair with almond cake, meringues, or fruit cookies.
The Albariño for this wine is grown on the Hendry Ranch in southwestern Napa – a property that Mike Hendry’s family has been farming since 1939. The Zinfandel used to produce the brandy is from the R.W. Moore Vineyard, in the Coombsville AVA. Owned by Molly Hendry’s uncle, Mike and Molly have been making Zinfandel from this vineyard since 2009. Learn more about this unique property here.
